Where Japanese language learning becomes a lived experience

Cowra is home to the largest Japanese Garden in the Southern Hemisphere, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with Japanese language and culture in an authentic and immersive setting.

Through guided experiences, students move beyond the classroom to hear, use, and experience Japanese in context.

Cowra Tours supports Japanese language learning by providing real-world contexts for communication,
cultural understanding, and language use.

Through this experience, students will:

  • Build confidence in listening and responding to Japanese

  • Strengthen vocabulary through contextual learning

  • Develop intercultural understanding and respect

  • Connect classroom language learning to real-world application
